In this episode, we are joined by John Fingleton and Mustafa Latif-Aramesh. John led an independent taskforce looking into the reform of nuclear regulations in the UK and Mustafa was Lead Author of the Planning Chapter in the review. The Government’s response to the Fingleton Review was published a few days ago.

Paul oversees WSP’s strategic priorities and client delivery across the UK and Ireland, reinforcing the firm’s capabilities in critical growth markets, including infrastructure, environment, water, property, and energy. Prior to joining WSP in 2022, he was the Managing Director of Stantec UK, Managing Partner at Peter Brett Associates, and chaired the Association for Consultancy and Engineering between 2020 and 2021.

Richard Benwell, Chief Executive at Wildlife and Countryside Link (S18 E2)
Richard Benwell is chief executive of Wildlife & Countryside Link. He is also a board member of the Broadway Initiative and UK Youth for Nature and Chair of Oxfordshire’s Local Nature Partnership. Wildlife and Countryside Link (Link) is the largest environment and wildlife coalition in England, bringing together 94 organisations to use their strong joint voice for the protection of nature.

Sam Stafford, Managing Director at the LPDF (S18 E1)
A Chartered Town Planner since 2002, Sam has a raft of experience across the property sector having previously worked for Barratt Homes as a regional strategic land director across the Northwest and West Midlands. In 2022 he was appointed Planning Director at the HBF working to influence national planning policy on behalf of the housebuilding industry. He joined the Land, Planning and Development Federation as Managing Director in 2025.
